(Brian Head, UT) — Some Utah ski resorts are getting even more optimistic as projections for a massive El Nino storm pattern keep growing. Part of the Pacific near the equator is now 86 degrees Fahrenheit. That area always warms up during an El Nino year, but this time it’s setting a record. So, the chances of massive storms hitting Southern Utah over the next few months are exceptionally high. While that’s good news for Brian Head, resorts in Northern Utah may or may not get hit by those storms. Many scientists expect this to be the biggest El Nino in recorded history. The hope is that those storms are cold enough to create lots of snow and not just lots of rain.
