Defense Seeks to Strike Prosecutor’s Response in Charlie Kirk Murder Case

(Provo, UT) — The defense for Tyler James Robinson is asking a judge to strike a recent response from prosecutors in the case over the killing of Charlie Kirk. The motion concerns Robinson’s request to appear in court in civilian clothing without restraints, arguing that inmate attire could bias the jury. The defense claims the prosecution is improperly representing the Utah County Sheriff’s Office rather than fulfilling its own duties. Robinson’s second waiver hearing is scheduled for October 30th, where he will appear in person.
