SAO PAULO-Over the course of the past three months, Brazilian members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (A Igreja de Jesus Cristo Dos Santos Dos Ultimos Dias) have joined forces to sew, cut, pack and distribute more than 3 million face masks.
This initiative is part of a global effort by the Salt Lake City-based faith to support actions to combat covid-19.
The masks were made by more than 20,000 Latter-day Saints and 200 friends of the faith who heard about the project and began to help.
