Another Earthquake Strikes Salt Lake Valley

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday morning, the Salt Lake Valley was hit by another earthquake, registering at 4.2 on the scale, per the U.S. Geological Survey.

This struck at 7:41 am northeast of Magna.

Tuesday evening, a magnitude 4.17 aftershock shook Salt Lake, Davis and Tooele counties after the initial 5.7 magnitude quake struck the Salt Lake Valley March 18 near Magna.

Incidentally, the Great Utah Shake Out, an annual earthquake safety drill, is planned for Thursday.
