OGDEN, Utah-Monday, the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed that a driver who appeared to be impaired was actually a 5-year-old boy trying to drive to California to buy a sports car.

At the 25th Street off-ramp of Interstate 15 in Ogden, a UHP trooper made a traffic stop after receiving word of an impaired driver.

The agency confirmed this was, in actuality, a 5-year-old boy.

As police spoke to his parents, they discovered the boy had gotten into an argument with his mother who wouldn’t let him buy a Lamborghini.

The boy then decided to take the family’s car and drive to California and buy one, per reports.

UHP revealed the boy had only $3 in his wallet upon his apprehension.
