2 Juveniles Arrested After 140 MPH Chase

(Heber City, UT) — Authorities in Wasatch County arrested two juveniles Thursday morning after a stolen car chase that reached 140 miles an hour. It started around 9 a.m. when Heber City police officers attempted a traffic stop on a Dodge Challenger with expired registration and that had been reported stolen. They tried to pull the car over at 500 North Main but the driver took off toward Jordanelle State Park, north of the city. Police lost sight of the car but picked it up as it headed back toward town and chased at speeds up to 140 miles an hour before other officers put down spike strips that flattened the tires and brought the car to a stop.
