2019 Wasatch County Election Results

Wasatch County voters turned out for this year’s election, with over 9,237 votes as of Tuesday night for a 53% voter involvement. The Wasatch School District $150 million school bond to create a new high school in the Heber Valley and to replace the current Midway Elementary school did NOT pass according to Tuesday night results. 57% against issuance of the bond, while 42% voted for the bond.

For the Heber City Council three new members have been elected with Rachel Kahler receiving the most votes with 2,125 votes, followed by Mike Johnston 1,775 and Ryan Stack with 1,732 votes.Perry Rose received 1,219 votes. Incumbents Jeff Bradshaw and Ron Crittenden were defeated.

In Midway the three seats in council will include Kevin Payne was the top vote getter with 1,343. Incumbent Lisa Kohler Orme received 1,239 votes and Steve Dougherty received 1,145 votes. Incumbent Bob Probst was defeated receiving 920 votes pending final canvas. 

The Charleston town council has two new council members with Darrel Nish 110 votes, and Jim Brown received 89 most likely electing them to the board pending final canvas. 

Wasatch County Clerk’s office will count any additional  provisional ballots and the final canvas results will be certified next Tuesday, November 12th.
