The turkeys must know it’s that time of year, the weather is colder, the feed is getting taster and the farmers are preparing for the Tuesday, November 26th Turkey Sale at the indoor Wasatch County Event Center at 7 pm. This event brings in community members from across the county to support the kids as part of the Wasatch County Junior Livestock 4-H. Parents like Laurie Backus have watched her boys work all summer with the turkeys and are ready to see the fruits of their labors. The live turkeys are presented to the audience for auction, then the leaders gather up the turkeys and send them to the processing plant for your Thanksgiving dinner. You can’t get any fresher than home grown turkeys for the family gathering.
