SALT LAKE CITY-In news released Friday, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square will reconvene in its choir school for new members.
Enrollment consists of 67 new students, including 34 women and 33 men.
This new class contains singers selected from both the 2020 and 2021 audition periods who successfully advanced through the first three levels of the process to become singers for the famed choir.
The last steps of this audition process include completion of the Choir School training and singing with the Chorale at Temple Square.
The choir school meets each Thursday night to receive meticulous training on all components of being a successful singer.
Additionally, on Tuesday evenings, Choir associate music director Ryan Murphy leads the singers as the conductor of the Chorale at Temple Square.
This training culminates with a concert by the Chorale at Temple Square and Orchestra at Temple Square Friday and Saturday May 6 and 7 at the Tabernacle.
