SALT LAKE CITY-This week, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reported during the 2021 Christmas season, roughly 300,000 residents of the United States paid a net $5.8 million in Light The World donations.

This initiative, in its fifth year of use, is sponsored by the Salt Lake City-based faith.

These distinctive red booths are used in Salt Lake City, Orem, Utah, Denver, Gilbert, Ariz., Honolulu, Kansas City, Mo., Las Vegas, Nashville, Tenn., New York, and Oakland, Calif.

Funds derived therefrom will be used to assist 44 charities across the United States and five global agencies.
