5A State Championship Game @ Marriott Center

PROVO, Utah-Dutch DowDell posted 23 points and the No. 1 Olympus Titans gashed No. 7 Woods Cross 40-31 to win the 5A state championship Saturday at the Marriott Center. Jaxon Smith had 11 points for the Wildcats in the loss.

Olympus has now won three state championships in boys basketball. The Titans have captured state titles in 2016, 2018 and 2022.

Girls Basketball

5A State Championship Game @ Marriott Center

PROVO, Utah-Kayla Porray’s 16 points led the way and the No. 6 Springville Red Devils downed No. 1 Lehi 54-43 at the Marriott Center Saturday to secure the 5A state championship. Maci Wall and Terazina Smith had 14 points apiece in the loss for the Pioneers. Springville has now won successive state championships and seven state titles in school history. The Red Devils have won state titles in girls basketball in 1990, 2010-2014, 2021 and 2022.
