5A Boys Quarterfinals
SALT LAKE CITY-Koy Dixon led the way with 23 points and Jake Williams’ layup in the closing seconds won the game as the No. 4 Bonneville Lakers outlasted No. 5 Alta 55-54 Monday in the 5A boys quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center.
The Lakers next meet No. 1 Olympus Wednesday in the state semifinals Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the Huntsman Center.
SALT LAKE CITY-Jack Wistrcill posted 25 points and 6 rebounds as the No. 1 Olympus Titans routed No. 8 Salem Hills 63-45 in the 5A boys quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center Monday. Ryker Richards’ 19 points and 5 rebounds led the Skyhawks in defeat.
SALT LAKE CITY-Mason Bendinger amassed 34 points and 6 rebounds as the No. 7 Woods Cross Wildcats upset No. 2 Orem 75-54 Monday in the 5A boys quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center. Ethan Stoddard had 12 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Tigers. Woods Cross next faces No. 6 Murray in the state semifinals Wednesday at 8:40 pm.
SALT LAKE CITY-Chudi Anosike led the way with 21 points as the No. 6 Murray Spartans blasted No. 14 Timpview 64-44 in the 5A boys quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center Monday. Truman Burningham had 11 points for the Thunderbirds in the loss.
5A Girls Quarterfinals
SALT LAKE CITY-Brooke Pennington posted 19 points and 5 rebounds as the No. 6 Springville Red Devils hammered No. 3 Olympus 51-30 Monday in the 5A girls quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center. Alyssa Blanck netted 15 points and 10 rebounds in defeat for the Titans. Springville next faces No. 2 Bountfiul Wednesday in the state semifinals at 4:40 pm.
SALT LAKE CITY-Tayler Harvey stepped up with 20 points and 8 rebounds as the No. 2 Bountiful Redhawks decimated No. 10 Viewmont 66-31 in the 5A girls quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center Monday. Kristina Gunnell had 16 points in defeat for the Vikings.
SALT LAKE CITY-Jamisyn Heaton’s 22 points and 6 steals led the way as the No. 1 Lehi Pioneers overpowerd No. 9 Jordan 60-46 in the 5A girls quarterfinals at the Huntsman Center Monday. Fui Niumeitolu’s 12 points and 5 rebounds led the Beetdiggers in defeat. Lehi next faces No. 4 Highland Wednesday at 3:00 pm in the state semifinals.
SALT LAKE CITY-Sophia Legate netted 19 points and the No. 4 Highland Rams gashed No. 14 Timpview 59-46 at the Huntsman Center Monday in the 5A girls quarterfinals. Natalia Ballin’s 12 points led the Thunderbirds in the loss.
