HEBER CITY, Utah-Mitch Lind led the way with 19 points and the Wasatch Wasps surged past Springville 56-50 in Region 9 boys basketball play at The Nest Friday. Jake Nadauld’s game-high 28 points led the Red Devils in the loss.

James Ballstaedt’s squad improves to 9-13 on the season in victory and 4-4 in Region 9 play. The Wasps return to The Nest Tuesday by hosting the Spanish Fork Dons as the Region 9 season continues.

Girls Basketball

Region 9

HEBER CITY, Utah-Kayla Porray led the way with 20 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Springville Red Devils hammered Wasatch 53-23 at the Nest Friday in Region 9 girls basketball play. Ashley Garner had 10 points for the Wasps in defeat. Wasatch falls to 7-14 and 3-5 in Region 9 play with the loss. The Wasps return to action Tuesday at 5:15 pm by hosting Spanish Fork at The Nest.
