HEBER CITY, Utah-Per Tuesday news, Wasatch County Parks & Recreation confirmed Elizabeth Smart will be the keynote speaker at the 32nd Annual Issues Community Conference.
This is slated for March 2 at Wasatch High School in Heber City from 6:00-8:30 pm.
Admission is free for all attendees.
Smart, who turned 34 this past November, was infamously abducted on June 5, 2002 at the age of 14 from her Salt Lake City home.
For the next nine months, she was kept as a prisoner by her captors.
During her address, she will share this experience as she shares her feelings on how to triumph over adversity.
She will also give tips on how to avoid letting your adverse circumstances determine your future.
Following her remarks, numerous workshops will be offered.
They include “Elevate Your Vision, The Happiness Formula, How To Save A Life: Zero Fatalities, Defend Yourself, The Latest on Vaping and more.
