Snow Volleyball Competes At NJCAA National Championship Tournament

HUTCHINSON, Kan.-

Quarterfinals

The No. 7 seed-Snow College Badgers fell 3-0 to the No. 3-seed Butler Grizzlies. Butler prevailed 25-22, 26-24, 25-16 to get the straight sets victory.

Kayli Duncan posted 10.5 points and Vanja Przuli added 10 points for the Grizzlies in victory. Przuli, Duncan and Ivy Fink had 8 kills apiece for Butler in victory.

Bailey Rasmussen had 11.5 points and 11 kills in the loss for the Badgers.

Snow returns to action Friday in the consolation bracket by facing Miami-Dade at 1:30 pm MST.

First Round

Thursday, Snow College women’s volleyball competed at the NJCAA National Championship Tournament at Hutchinson, Kan.

The No. 7 seed Badgers bested the Northeastern JC (Colo.) Plainswomen, the No 10 seed, 3-0 in their first match.

Hannah Smith and Macie Gordon each posted 11.5 points apiece for the Badgers, who prevailed over the Plainswomen 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 to amass the straight sets victory.

Smith also had a team-high 11 kills for the Badgers in the win.

Taylor Wiescamp led Northeastern JC with 11 points and nine kills in the loss.

Snow advances to the Elite Eight by facing No. 3 seed Butler Thursday at 4:30 pm MST.
