SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, covid-19 statistics were updated for Utah by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 54,272 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 433 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 80 in the same span.

683,965 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 4,049 in the past 24 hours.

This increased the positive test percentage to 7.93 percent. Friday, this was at 7.92 percent.

The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 10.69 percent from Friday’s 8.46 percent.

There have been 45,896 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 351 in the past 24 hours. The recovery percentage dropped to 84.56 percent Saturday. Friday, this was at 84.59 percent.

The differential between all-time cases and recoveries in Utah increased to 8,376. This is a net increase of 84 in the past 24 hours.

There are 7,956 active cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 83 in the past 24 hours as the active case percentage increased to 14.65 percent. This was at 14.623 percent Friday.

There are 37,940 more recoveries than active cases in Utah. This is an increase of 266 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 3,188 recorded hospitalizations in Utah for covid-19, representing an increase of 16 in the past 234 hours.

The current hospitalizations dropped to 120, a net decrease of one in the past 24 hours. Presently, 3.76 percent of all covid-19 hospitalizations are currently hospitalized. Of those, 49 are in ICU, a net decrease of five in the past 24 hours. The current covid-19 hospitalization ICU percentage is 40.8 percent. This is down from Friday’s 44.6 percent. 69.6 percent of ICU is occupied in Utah.

There have been 420 deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah, increasing the net total by one in the past 24 hours. This dropped the death percentage to 0.773 Saturday. Friday, this was at 0.778 percent.

Wasatch County saw seven new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours and one new hospitalization in the same span. This increased the respective numbers of each to 656 and 28.

There were no new deaths attributed to covid-19 recorded in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours, keeping this total at 7. The last death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.
