Monday COVID-19 Stats For Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, updated statistics for COVID-19 were released for the Beehive State by the Utah Department of Health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 30,030 recorded cases of COVID-19 in Utah.

This is an increase of 546 cases in the past 24 hours. However, this represents a net decrease of 83 in the same span and a net decrease of 321 in the past 72 hours.

There have presently been 17,728 recoveries from COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 425 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 19 recoveries in the same span.

Presently, 59.03 percent of all COVID-19 cases in Utah are recovered.

Currently, there are 12,087 active cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State. Symmetrically, this is an increase of 120 cases in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 120 cases in the same span.

Presently, there are 5,641 more recovered cases of COVID-19 in Utah than active cases. This number has steadily risen the past 13 days and represents a net +305 increase in the past 24 hours.

There have been 418,335 total tests administered for COVID-19 in the Beehive State since statistics began being kept. This is an increase of 5,277 in the past 24 hours.

This caused the overall positive test percentage to increase slightly to 7.17 percent. Sunday, this number was at 7.13 percent.

Since statistics have been kept, there have been 1,850 recorded hospitalizations. This is a net increase of 26 in the past 24 hours.

Current hospitalizations are -2 in the past 24 hours as the number dropped to 207. This caused the current hospitalization percentage to drop to 11.19 (11.189 percent).

The ICU current hospitalizations increased to 86 (+2) in the past 24 hours. This also caused a moderate increase in the ICU percentage among COVID-19 cases. This is presently 41.54 percent and represents an increase of Sunday’s 40.19 percent among current COVID-19 hospitalizations.

There was one new death attributed to COVID-19 in Utah in the past 24 hours. With 216 current deaths attributed to the virus in the Beehive State, this caused the nation’s lowest death rate to drop to 0.719 percent. Sunday, this total was at 0.729.

Wasatch County experienced six new cases of COVID-19 Monday. This caused the net total to increase to 462 cases. The hospitalizations (20) and deaths (4) attributed to COVID-19 remain unchanged in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours. The most recent COVID-19 death attributed to COVID-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
