Monday Stats For COVID-19 In Utah Released

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, updated statistics were released for COVID-19 in the state of Utah from the Utah Department of Health.

Since statistics began being kept for COVID-19 in Utah, there have been 17,906 cases of COVID-19. This is an increase of 444 cases in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 50 cases in the same span.

There have been 9,863 recovered cases from COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 204 recoveries in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 65 in the same span. Recovered cases represent 55.08 percent of all cases of COVID-19 in Utah.

There are now 7,885 active cases of COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 239 in the past 24 hours and represents a net increase of 110 active cases in the same span. Presently, active cases represent 44.03 percent of all cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State.

There have been 299,312 total tests administered for COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 2,953 tests in the past 24 hours.

This increased the overall positive test percentage to 5.98 percent. It also caused the 24-hour positive test percentage to skyrocket to 15.03 percent in the past 24 hours.

Since statistics have been kept, there have been 1,192 hospitalizations for COVID-19 in Utah. This is a net increase of eight in the past 24 hours. However, current hospitalizations only increased by two to 171 in the same span.

Presently, the current hospitalization percentage for COVID-19 in Utah is 14.3 percent.

There were no new deaths recorded in Utah from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, keeping the death total at 158. Presently, 0.00882 percent of COVID-19 cases in Utah have died from the virus. This is the lowest rate in the nation.

Wasatch County experienced four new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. There have now been 384 cases of COVID-19 in Wasatch County. There have also been 19 hospitalizations (an increase of one in the past 24 hours) and three deaths. The most recent death in Wasatch County from COVID-19 occurred last Friday, June 19.
