Weber State Professor Rescinds Resignation

OGDEN, Utah-Tuesday, Scott Senjo, a tenured criminal justice professor at Weber State University for the past 20 years, rescinded his resignation.

In the wake of the death of George Floyd May 25, Senjo resigned after tweeting several now-deleted tweets concerning the protests following Floyd’s death.

Senjo resigned June 3 after being placed on paid leave as the university conducted a review of his actions.

Weber State University officials stated that, per university policy, tenured faculty members have five business days to rescind a resignation, which he did.

Senjo confirmed that his original tweets “went too far,” in a statement.

Further information concerning this matter was not immediately available.
