Sunday COVID-19 Stats

SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, COVID-19 statistics were released for Utah. They are more propitious for the Beehive State than on Saturday as while net positive cases increased by 132, this represents a net decrease of 71 from Saturday’s totals. There are presently 8,392 positive tests for COVID-19 in Utah. Of those, 5,081 have recovered, or 60.5 percent of those who have had the virus in the state.

Presently, there have been 194,433 total tests for COVID-19 administered in Utah. This is an increase of 3,654 administered tests in the past 24 hours. This has caused the overall positive test percentage to drop to 4.316 percent.

In the past 24 hours, positive tests plummeted in Utah as Saturday’s number of 5.1 percent fell to 3.6 percent from Saturday-Sunday.

There have presently been 688 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 12 from Saturday’s totals.

The death count from COVID-19 in Utah remains 97 as of Sunday as there were no new deaths from the virus recorded.

Wasatch County only experienced 4 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the net total to 241. There remain 11 hospitalizations and one death from COVID-19 in Wasatch County. This death occurred April 10.
