SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, COVID-19 statistics were released for what has happened in the past 24 hours in Utah.
Presently, there are 8,057 cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 183 cases in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 19 cases.
There have been 186, 834 total tests for COVID-19 administered in Utah. This is an increase of 3,960 tests in the past 24 hours.
The overall positive test percentage has increased to 4.31 percent, but in the past 24 hours, the daily positive test percentage slipped to 4.6 percent. This is a decrease from the 5.1 percent positive test percentage on Thursday.
There have presently been 660 hospitalizations for COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 13 from the previous day.
There are now 93 deaths from COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of one from Thursday’s totals.
In Wasatch County, there are presently 228 cases of COVID-19. This is an increase of six from Thursday. There remain 10 hospitalizations and one death, which occurred April 10.
