Utah Statistics For COVID-19 Tuesday

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the latest COVID-19 statistics were released by the Utah Department of Health.

There have been 6,432 positive tests for Utah as of Tuesday’s results. This is an increase of 70, the first time positive net cases in a single day have decreased below triple digits in several weeks. This is a decrease of 41 cases in the past 24 hours.

In the past 48 hours, there has been a decrease of 78 cases in the Beehive State.

There have been 153,485 total tests for COVID-19 in Utah. This means that 2,900 Utahns were tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Because of these propitious results, the positive test percentage for COVID-19 in Utah has dropped to 4.19.

Only 2.4 percent of Utahns tested in the past 24 hours tested positive for COVID-19.

There are presently 535 net hospitalizations in Utah for COVID-19, an increase of five over the course of the past 24 hours.

Five new deaths have occurred in the Beehive State for COVID-19, bringing the net total to 73.

Four of the deaths were Salt Lake County residents and the other one was a Weber County resident.

Two of the Salt Lake County deaths were men between the ages of 60 and 84. One was hospitalized at the time of his death and the other was a long-term healthcare facility resident.

The other two Salt Lake County deaths were women over the age of 85 who were long-term healthcare family residents.

The death from Weber County was a woman over the age of 85 who was a long-term healthcare family resident.

Wasatch County has one new case of COVID-19, in the past 24 hours, increasing the total to 184. There remain 8 hospitalizations and one death from the disease, which occurred April 10.
