SALT LAKE CITY-Monday morning, two were seriously injured in a boiler explosion at the Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, authorities confirmed.

The pair was taken to a nearby hospital after the blast at the hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, located at 500 S. Main, per Salt Lake City Fire Captain Tony Stowe.

The boiler was undergoing maintenance at the time.
