Interior Renderings Released For Tooele Valley Temple

ERDA, Utah-Tuesday morning, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released its planned interior design for its Tooele Valley Utah Temple to be located at Erda, Utah upon its completion.

The temple, which was announced earlier this month by Church President Russell M. Nelson, will be located northwest of the intersection of Erba Way and Utah S.R. 36.

April 7, an exterior rendering of the three-story, 70,000-square foot temple was released.

The design of this temple features a cast stone exterior with copper shingles done in a pioneer style, per Bill Williams, the Church’s director of temple design.

Several flowers native to the Tooele Valley, including cliffrose and silvery lupine, are featured throughout the temple in various rooms as well as on art glass and the building’s exterior.

A groundbreaking date for the temple has not yet been set.

Presently, the Beehive State has 17 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temples in operation.
