SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, GreenBike, Salt Lake City’s nonprofit bike-share program announced it is offering $0.01 annual memberships to all essential workers.
This comes on the heels of Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s “Stay Safe Stay Home” directive and Salt Lake City mayor Erin Mendenhall’s lock-down of the city.
Workers who can use the GreenBike service include:
-health care professionals
-law enforcement officers
-faith leaders and workers (officials, workers or leaders in houses of worship or other places of expression or fellowship)
-employees of charitable and social services organizations
-grocery clerks and all grocery store employees
-restaurant employees/drivers offering take-out and delivery options
-bank employees
-gas station employees
-All Utah residents unable to telework.
