SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah-Monday, the Bureau of Land Management of Utah confirms that in following the patterns of state and local health authorities, they are canceling back-country permits for the San Juan River and Cedar Mesa Special Recreation Management Area.

The BLM office in Monticello confirms that no permits will be issued until conditions allow for safe use-effective March 31

The BLM confirms that refunds will be issued and that the health and safety of recreational visitors and staff is their top priority.

BLM Utah will continue to monitor the situation and respond as conditions change.
