WASATCH COUNTY, Utah-The dutiful community servants of Wasatch County Search and Rescue reported Friday, via their official Instagram page, that they are searching for a missing adventurer.
This person has been identified as 34-year-old Robert “Austin” Harker, from the Millcreek area.
Harker traveled to the Strawberry River area, southeast of Heber City, to fly fish Thursday.
That morning, Harker called his wife, confirming the Soldier Creek Dam Road, that he had planned to use, was closed.
Therefore, he continued eastward to fish. It was anticipated that he would return home March 12, but he did not return home. He was last seen at 11:00 am MDT March 12.
SAR personnel and law enforcement are asking for the community’s help in locating Harker’s vehicle as it has not yet been located.
This is a 2013 gray Toyota Tacoma with a shell. There is also a hard-sided fishing rod mounted on the top of the shell.
Austin is a 6-3 210-pound Caucasian male with a short beard. He is most likely wearing fishing clothing and gear. Reportedly, he always has a hat on when he is fishing.
If you have seen Austin’s vehicle on either March 12 or 13, please call the Wasatch County 911 center at (435) 654-1411.
