(Provo, UT) — Tyler Robinson is once again requesting a ban on cameras in his upcoming trial and, this time, he’s citing a post by President Donald Trump. Robinson, who’s accused of murdering Charlie Kirk, says Trump’s post prior to an October 23rd hearing shows that video of the court proceedings only fuels attention and makes it hard to seat an impartial jury. In last month’s post, Trump says the trail should start very quickly. Robinson argues negative comments about him by national political figures could prejudice the jury pool. Robinson’s defense team says they need three years to prepare for a trial. Prosecutors say the trial should start in about 14 months.
