Cox Announces $200M Investment To Restore Great Salt Lake

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Private businesses and non-profit groups are stepping up to help restore the Great Salt Lake. Governor Cox announced yesterday that 200-million dollars has been raised to fund projects related to the lake restoration. Ducks Unlimited pledged half the announced funding, while the other half was pledged by the group Great Salt Lake Rising. Cox wants the lake restored in time for the 2034 Winter Olympic Games, and urged Utahns to commit to preserving the lake once it is restored.
