Cox Signs Bill Making “Utahn” Official Name Of Utah Residents

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah now has an official name for residents of the Beehive State. Governor Cox signed a bill yesterday that designates “Utahn” as the official term for residents. The bill also makes it clear that there is no “a” between the letters “h” and “n,” eliminating the use of “Utahan” as a substitute spelling. The governor still has more than 500 measures left to review before next week’s bill-signing deadline.
