(Salt Lake City, UT) — A state audit reveals Utah students aren’t improving on their test scores. The report from the Legislative Auditor General states that proficiency levels remain stagnant as schools try to move students from the “not proficient” category to the “proficient” category on state tests. The report also says that in the last five years, three out of four districts had over ten-percent of their proficient students fall into the not proficient category. Auditors recommend districts put more resources into analyzing their students’ test scores and proficiency data.
