SALT LAKE CITY-Kean Wong and Monte Harrison each drove in a pair of runs and the Salt Lake Bees routed Tacoma 8-1 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Cesar Valdez earned the win on the mound for the Bees, who improved to 4-1 on the season. Valdez posted eight strikeouts in nine innings of work for the Bees as Salt Lake improved to 14-13 with their second consecutive victory.

Mason McCoy had an RBI single in defeat for the Rainiers, as they fell to 8-19.

The Bees and Rainiers return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark as the series resumes.
