Bees Edge Tacoma, Get Back to .500

SALT LAKE CITY-Kean Wong scored on a fielding error in the bottom of the 9th Inning and the Salt Lake Bees edged Tacoma 3-2 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.

Michael Stefanic (RBI triple) and Magneuris Sierra (RBI single) also contributed to the Bees’ victory as  Salt Lake improved to 13-13 on the season.

Wander Suero earned the win on the mound for the Bees as he improved to 2-2 on the season.

Zach Green had both RBI in defeat for Tacoma as the Rainiers fell to 8-18 on the season.

The Bees and Rainiers return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, the Bees will become the Abejas de Salt Lake and wear special uniforms for the occasion to celebrate Latino/Latina culture in the Salt Lake Valley.
