Tooele Tournament

TOOELE, Utah-Payge Armendariz drove in seven runs and the Wasatch Wasps overpowered Desert Hills 11-5 Saturday at the Tooele Tournament. Armendariz also earned the win in the circle for the Wasps, posting six strikeouts in five innings of work.

TOOELE, Utah-McCall Maxfield and Haylee Farnsworth each drove in a pair of runs and the Bear River Bears waxed Wasatch 6-2 at the Tooele Tournament Saturday. Kate Dahle earned the win in the circle for the Bears, posting 13 strikeouts in six innings of work. Payge Armendariz drove in both of the Wasps’ runs in the loss.

TOOELE, Utah-Lianna Jones drove in three runs and the Wasatch Wasps blanked Tooele 6-0 Saturday at the Tooele Tournament. Payge Armendariz earned the win in the circle for the Wasps, posting eight strikeouts in five innings of work.

TOOELE, Utah-Lianna Jones, Brylee Bigelow and Andrea Sweat each drove in a pair of runs and the Wasatch Wasps routed Sky View 12-2 to conclude the Tooele Tournament Saturday. Sweat also posted nine strikeouts in six innings of work to record the win in the circle for the Wasps.

Wasatch concluded the tournament with a 3-1 record.
