SALT LAKE CITY-Magneuris Sierra homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed the Round Rock Express 5-3 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.

David MacKinnon and Chad Wallach also added RBI for the Bees, who improved to 11-11 with the victory.

Cesar Valdez earned the win on the mound for the Bees as he improved to 3-1 on the season. Valdez posted nine strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Salt Lake.

Davis Wendzel and Meibrys Viloria each had RBI in defeat for the Express, who fell to 14-8 in defeat.

The squads meet again Saturday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
