SALT LAKE CITY-Matt Thaiss, Luis Rengifo and Dillon Thomas each homered and the Salt Lake Bees edged Las Vegas 5-4 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.

Andrew Wantz earned the win on the mound for the Bees, as he improved to 1-1 on the season. The Bees improved to 5-4 with the win.

Christian Lopes, Mickey McDonald and Vimael Machin all had RBI in the loss for the Aviators as they fell to 5-4.

The Bees and Aviators meet again Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
