Region 9

HEBER CITY, Utah-Tragun Shaw and Jaxon Sorenson drove in three runs apiece and the Wasatch Wasps bested Provo 10-6 in Region 9 baseball play Thursday. Casey Anderson earned the win on the mound for the Wasps, posting five strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work. With the win, the Wasps improved to 7-8 and 4-1 in Region 9 play. The Wasps seek the series win against the Bulldogs Friday, weather permitting, as the rubber match occurs at Provo High School. Keegan Gingras posted 2 RBI in the loss for Provo.

HEBER CITY, Utah-Payge Armendariz drove in a run and the Wasatch Wasps outlasted Salem Hills 4-3 Thursday in Region 9 softball play. Andrea Sweat went the distance in the circle to earn the victory for the Wasps, posting 12 strikeouts in seven innings of work.
