HEBER CITY, Utah-Cole Zimmerman drove in three runs and the Wasatch Wasps routed Maple Mountain 9-0 Monday in Region 9 play in securing the win in the rubber match against the Golden Eagles.

Jackson Bolender posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work, earning the win on the mound for the Wasps.

Wasatch has now won three consecutive games to improve to 4-7 on the season and 3-0 in Region 9 play.

The Wasps return to action Thursday by hosting Class 6A Westlake in a non-region tilt.
