Buck’s Ace Hardware Invitational @ Snow Canyon High School

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Jordan Fry hit the game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the 6th Inning as the Lone Peak Knights edged Wasatch 5-4 Saturday at Buck’s Ace Hardware Invitational at Snow Canyon High School.

Chris Billings earned the win on the mound for the Class 6A Knights, who improved to 5-0 on the season. Billings posted 5 strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work for Lone Peak.

Cole Zimmerman and Payton Swap each drove in a run in defeat for the Wasps. Wasatch fell to 1-6 in defeat.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Spencer Vance belted a 3-run home run and the Salem Hills Skyhawks surged past Wasatch 16-5 Saturday evening to conclude the Buck’s Ace Hardware Invitational for both squads at Snow Canyon High School. Crew Erickson had an RBI in defeat for the Wasps and Carter Bucad recorded a pair of hits for Wasatch.

The Wasps, who fell to 1-7 with the loss,  commence their Region 9 season Thursday by hosting Maple Mountain at 3:30 pm. This game can be heard on 94.5 The Peak and hebervalleyradio.com with Ty & Ty calling all the action.
