RIO DE JANEIRO-Friday is the last day of the BYU International Center for Law and Religion Studies at the J. Reuben Clark Law School symposium that is concurrently ongoing with the Brazilian Center for Studies in Law and Religion to discuss religious freedom.
Elder Ulisses Soares of The Quorum of Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attended a meeting in Rio de Janiero earlier this week while the temple’s open house in the city is currently ongoing.
Elder Soares called religious freedom “the architecture of a healthy society.”
Elder Soares was joined at the symposium by representatives of the Catholic, Muslim and Seventh-day Adventist faiths.
