Heber-Kamas Forest District Personnel Conduct Slash Pile Burning Tuesday

UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST, Utah-Tuesday, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest fire personnel working in the Heber-Kamas District successfully burned slash piles in the Iron Mine Area.

The purpose of the controlled burn was to reduce hazardous fuels in the region.

The piles consisted of 10-15 acres of forest land located along the Iron Mine Road near the Soapstone junction and Mirror Lake Highway.
