Tuesday, Dixie State senior forward Hunter Schofield and Utah State graduate forward Justin Bean were named to the 2021-22 CoSIDA Division I men’s basketball all-academic first team.
Schofield is the first Trailblazer in the school’s NCAA history to achieve the first-team distinction.
Schofield has a 3.94 GPA in exercise science at Dixie State University.
Schofield, a 6-8 225-pound forward out of Spanish Fork High School posted 14.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game this season for Dixie State.
Bean has a 3.34 GPA in kinesiology and nutrition science at Utah State.
Bean averages 17.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game for the Aggies. Bean and his USU teammates host Oregon this evening in the first round of the NIT.
