RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Saturday, amid breezy conditions at the Norris Invitational, Richfield’s boys and girls each won team titles on their home track, putting forth good showings.

For the girls, the Wildcats posted 112 points with North Sevier finishing close behind at 103.5 points. In the boys’ competition, Richfield’s boys easily outpaced second-place Panguitch, 137-112.

In the girls’ events, Seonna Southwick of Richfield won the 3200-meter run, with Manti’s Madison Norris taking the 1600-meter crown and Madeline Norris of Maeser earning the title in the 800-meter run.

Kate Sorensen of Gunnison swept the girls’ 100 and 300-meter hurdle crowns as well as taking the title in the 200-meter dash.

In the 100-meter dash, North Sanpete’s Isabelle Hightower won the championship and North Sevier’s Mayci Torgersen took the title in the 400-meter dash.

North Sevier’s Peyton Torgersen took the girls’ long jump title with Bobbie Griffin of Escalante won the girls’ shot put crown.

Shandi Bastian of Richfield won the girls’ high jump crown, while Linley White of Beaver took the girls’ javelin title and Millard’s Emma Thurman earned the discus crown.

Beaver’s girls’ medley team took the tournament title, with Richfield’s girls winning the 4 x 100 and Panguitch taking the crown in the 4 x 400.

For the boys, Jordan Cheney of Manti won the boys’ 3200-meter run crown with Hayden Harward of Richfield taking the 1600-meter run crown and his teammate, Jonathan Monsen, won the 800.

Josh Thomas of Richfield swept the 110 and 300-meter hurdle titles and also took the high jump and long jump crowns, being the best overall athlete at the meet.

Millard’s Turner Koyle swept the sprinting events, taking crowns in the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes.

Austin Carter of Beaver won the boys’ shot put with Panguitch’s Trey Barney continuing to excel, winning both the boys’ discus and javelin competitions.

North Sanpete’s boys won the medley relay while Richfield’s boys swept both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 meter relays, cementing their meet title.
