Washington and Boston are tied at two games apiece in the conference semifinals after the Wizards scored 26 straight points in the third quarter of a 121-102 rout of the Celtics. The Rockets and Spurs are also tied at two games apiece after James Harden scored 28 points and Eric Gordon chipped in 22 to lead Houston’s 125-104 romp over San Antonio.

Ryan Johansen scored the game-winner with 3:15 remaining and had an assist as the Predators beat St. Louis, 3-1. Leon Draistaitl (DRY’-sy-tul) was the star in the Oilers’ 7-1 rout of the Ducks, scoring three times and adding two assists.
CHICAGO (AP) — The Yankees needed nine extra innings to complete a sweep of the Cubs as Aaron Hicks scored the tiebreaking run on Starlin Castro’s fielder’s choice in the 18th inning to send New York past Chicago, 5-4. Jacoby Ellsbury’s two-run homer in the eighth put the Yanks ahead 4-1, but the Cubs tied it with a three-run ninth off former teammate Aroldis Chapman. The Yankees’ fifth straight win leaves them an American League-best 20-9 and drops the defending World Series champs one game behind Cincinnati in the NL Central.
TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Ricky Stenhouse Jr. earned his first NASCAR Cup victory by blowing past Kyle Busch in overtime at Talladega Superspeedway. Stenhouse started from the pole and won in his 158th Cup start while giving Roush Racing its first win since 2014. Jamie McMurray was second, followed by Busch, Aric Almirola and Kasey Kahne (kayn).
WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Brian Harman closed with a 30-foot birdie putt to win the PGA’s Wells Fargo Championship and deny Dustin Johnson a fourth straight victory. Harman closed with a 4-under 68 for his second PGA Tour victory. Johnson went from making the cut on the number to a 67-67 weekend and had the lead until Harman birdied the last two holes.
