CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP)-Per a press release issued by the Southern Utah University athletic department Tuesday, the men’s basketball team is currently searching for managers for the 2017-18 season.
Any full-time students at SUU are eligible to apply and all interested in a manager position must be available for all practices and games.
Practices during the fall semester will usually run from 12:00-3:00 pm MDT/MST and 3:00-6:00 pm MST during the spring semester.
This position presents the opportunity for students to receive hands-on experience in Division I collegiate athletics while working with coaches, players, support staff and administration.
If students are interested in working in sports administration, coaching, or a related field, this is an effective way to get one’s foot in the door.
Managers will also receive priority registration for courses at the Cedar City-based university, authentic Team Adidas gear and receive the chance to get their names out there within college basketball circles.
Those interested in the position or who have any questions can contact Michael Nesbitt, the special assistant of men’s basketball at SUU at 1-812-760-7504 or by emailing him at michaelnesbitt@suu.edu.
