DELTA, Utah (AP)-The Delta Rabbits ran for 315 yards, resembling an old-school Big 8 team as they ran roughshod over their second 3-A opponent in as many weeks, the Manti Templars, 30-14 Friday in non-region football action. Dallin Draper ran for 151 yards on 13 carries and a score, averaging 11.6 yards per carry and Jaymen Brough averaged 9.1 yards per pop, running for 136 yards on 15 totes. Additionally, touchdown maker Trevor Burton had the first score of the game on a 15-yard blocked punt return for a touchdown. Burton has five touchdowns in his first two games of the season. In defeat, Lance Fowles had 19 carries for 73 yards and Travis Thompson completed 6 of 9 passes for 53 yards and a touchdown for the Templars. The 1-1 Templars next face Class 4-A power Pine View in a non-region game September 1. PAROWAN, Utah (AP)-Slade Sheriff returned a kickoff for a touchdown and the resurgent Millard Eagles improved to 2-0 by edging Parowan 14-13 in non-region football action Friday. Porter Wood had a pair of scoring runs in the loss for the Rams.
BEAVER, Utah (AP)-Sheldon LeBaron nailed a 32-yard field goal as Beaver edged Kanab 17-14 Friday in non-region football action. Porter Hollingshead and Tyce Raddon added touchdown runs in the win for Beaver. In defeat, Tavin Ott threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Kayden McDonald and ran for another score for the Cowboys.
NEPHI, Utah (AP)-Joey Aagard had a 13-yard touchdown run and Kolbe Ballow returned an interception 38 yards for another score as the Juab Wasps downed Class 4-A Cedar 14-3 in non-region football action Friday.
BICKNELL, Utah (AP)-Spencer Knudsen tossed four touchdown passes and the Monticello Buckaroos pounded Wayne 44-0 Friday in non-region football action. Thomas Anderson and Weston Nebeker added touchdown runs in the rout for Monticello.
SALINA, Utah (AP)-Taylor Crane had a pair of touchdown passes and Gabe Wilcox had scoring runs of 56 and 36 yards as the North Sevier Wolves shellacked Gunnison 41-14 in non-region football action Friday. Burke Mickelsen added a 35-yard interception return for a score for the Wolves in the rout. In defeat, Kris Edwards threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Caden Madsen and Thomas Yardley had a 4-yard touchdown run for the Bulldogs.
RICHFIELD, Utah (AP)-Emmit Hafen ran for three touchdowns and the Richfield Wildcats upended South Sevier 19-6 Friday in non-region football action. Tyson Chisholm had a 3-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Rams.
ROOSEVELT, Utah (AP)-Lincoln Labrum tossed a 6-yard touchdown pass to Chase Birchell for the go-ahead touchdown and the Union Cougars outlasted North Sanpete 27-21 in non-region football action Friday. In defeat, Spencer Steadman tossed a pair of touchdown passes and Keegan Eliason added a 4-yard touchdown run for the Hawks.
