(Tacoma, WA) — The Salt Lake Bees cruised to an 8-1 win over the Rainiers in Tacoma. Ramon Flores hit a two-run homer and scored twice for Salt Lake, which has a one-game lead on El Paso for first place in the PCL Pacific Southern. The third installment of the four-game set is tonight.
Elsewhere in minor league baseball, the Grand Junction Rockies jolted the Orem Owlz, 18-8. Orem dipped to 42-and-22 on the season. The Raptors came away with a 9-7 win over the Idaho Falls Chukars in Ogden. The Raptors are 42-and-23.
