(Nashville, TN) — The Salt Lake Bees rode a 10-run sixth to a 12-7 win over the Sounds in Nashville. Jefry Marte hit a two-run homer and Sherman Johnson plated three runs for the Bees, who improved to 56-and-52. Salt Lake had 18 hits in the victory. The third installment of the four-game series takes place tonight.
Elsewhere in minor league baseball, the Orem Owlz clobbered the Chukars, 17-7, in Idaho Falls. Orem improved to 28-and-11 on the season. The Raptors notched a 7-6 win over the Grand Junction Rockies in Ogden. The Raptors are 25-and-15 on the year.
