Weber State Women’s Basketball Season Ends at Central Arkansas

CONWAY, Ark. (Weber State SID)-Monday evening, the Weber State women’s basketball team’s season ended with an 82-67 defeat at the hands of Central Arkansas in the Women’s Basketball Invitational quarterfinals.

Despite a Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman jumper giving Weber State an 8-7 lead midway through the 1st Quarter, the Sugar Bears finished the stanza on a 20-6 flurry, leading them to a 27-14 lead after one.

Central Arkansas was able to maintain the momentum from there, repelling all subsequent Wildcats surges they faced en route to the double digit victory.

Kamry Orr posted 25 points on 8-10 shooting and 2-2 behind the arc for the Sugar Bears in the win, sending them to the March 24 WBI semifinals which sees them host the Nevada Wolf Pack.

Larryn Brooks had 16 points in defeat for the Wildcats, whose season ends with a record of 21-11.
