Weber State Men’s Basketball’s Jerrick Harding Named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah-Tuesday, Weber State men’s basketball star senior guard Jerrick Harding was named as the Big Sky Conference player of the week.

In wins over Sacramento State and Northern Arizona last week, Harding averaged 34 points per game, shot 53 percent from the field and made all 15 of his free throw attempts.

In the 70-66 overtime win over the Hornets February 6, Harding set a program record with 44 points, while shooting 11 of 21 from the field, 5-10 behind the arc, and 11-11 at the foul line.

The native of Wichita, Kan. leads the Big Sky Conference and ranks 7th nationally with 22.8 points per game.

He also surpassed Jeremy Seglin as the leading scorer in program history. Harding now has 2,123 career points, the fourth-most in Big Sky history.

The resurgent Wildcats are now 10-14 and 6-7 in Big Sky Conference play, having won four of their last five games.

Weber State return to action Thursday at Missoula, Mont. to face Montana and will square off against Montana State at Bozeman, Mont. Saturday.
